Anise Star

Anise star is a spicery with the star shaped fruits of evergreen tree of Magnolia family. It has sweetish-bitter taste and aroma that reminds an anise. The ground fruits of anise are used as spicery to dough in the production of confectionery and bakery products. It is added to the cakes, pies, puddings and other wares from dough, and also in fruit compotes, kissels, fruit soups and other sweet dishes.
